Ballots and Proposals to Advance and New Projects Announced at Wireless Innovation Forum Working Meeting, June 21-23

Working Meeting Immediately Precedes the Forum’s European Reconfigurable Radio Technologies Workshop

WASHINGTON–May 21, 2010–The Wireless Innovation Forum (www.WirelessInnovation.org) will finalize a Public Safety proposal and a new Security Working Group document as well as propose a new project for developing a “Hybrid SATCOM Reference Architecture for Public Safety Applications,” among many other items, at its 66th General Meeting, June 21-23, 2010, in Mainz, Germany. The meeting is comprised of working sessions advancing The Forum’s 2010 operations plan in support of the commercial, public safety, satellite communications, and international tactical radio communities.

Reconfigurable radio topics including public safety, cognitive radio benefits, spectrum sensing, and more will be discussed at the second annual European Reconfigurable Radio Technologies Workshop and Product Exposition which will immediately follow the Working Meeting, June 23-25.

Sponsored by General Dynamics C4 Systems, Harris, Indra Systemas, and L3 Communications, this multi-day workshop brings together wireless telecommunications equipment manufacturers (TEMs) with their customers and suppliers to explore the evolution of reconfigurable radio.
